EcoPay, an online payment system created to simplify large payments for businesses, was introduced by EcoCash, Zimbabwe’s top financial technology platform.
EcoPay transforms bulk payments for organizations
The technology eliminates laborious processes by allowing businesses, non-governmental organisations, and government agencies to instantly pay over 100,000 beneficiaries at once. Gilbert Tsongorera, a commercial executive with EcoCash, spoke at the launch in Harare on Tuesday and characterised EcoPay as a customised solution for the various payment requirements of businesses, NGOs, and the agricultural industry.
“It offers a fast and seamless solution for handling large-scale disbursements with enhanced control, efficiency, and transparency,” Tsongorera stated. He pointed out that EcoPay enhances financial management by enabling businesses to accept payments quickly and securely.
According to NewsDay, the introduction of the new service comes as an increasing number of government organisations, enterprises, and non-profits are depending on digital technology to increase productivity and scale their operations. With EcoPay’s sophisticated web-based interface, businesses can streamline their bulk payment procedures and cut down on manual interaction.
“This not only speeds up disbursements but also enhances transparency, making it easier for organisations to initiate, approve, and track payments through a user-friendly interface,” Tsongorera stated. With EcoPay’s features like quick account balance viewing, users can make timely decisions about their spending and cash flow.
Additionally, EcoPay produces thorough reports that give businesses a clear understanding of payment processes. By verifying EcoCash numbers prior to payments, the system lowers errors.
Real-time reports provide transparency and analytics
“The platform has user-friendly, informative dashboards that offer real-time updates and business analytics, making it easier for organisations to track and manage their payments,” Tsongorera stated.
Additionally, EcoPay provides a practical self-service alternative that enables businesses to manage payments on their own, simplifying processes, lowering dependency on outside assistance, and increasing overall effectiveness.
“Corporates, government departments, NGOs, and even farmers can now upload payment instructions, generate real-time reports, and track disbursements independently, improving operational control and boosting productivity across various sectors,” he stated.
