Zimbabwe has reported significant progress in its First 100 Day Cycle projects for 2025.
On Tuesday, Information Minister Dr. Jenfan Muswere presented a report at the Post-Cabinet Media Briefing in Harare. This report detailed the positive outcomes achieved in the first 50 days of the year.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, in his report, highlighted the completion of the beer pet project at Ingwebu Breweries in Bulawayo, valued at $1.7 million.
A major milestone is the ZITF 2025 business connections which promotes strategic partnerships between private sectors.
Projects in ICT and healthcare show strong results
The Minister of Information Communication Technology Postal and Courier Services reported that 10,000 citizens from all provinces would receive digital skills training. He also noted that 5,000 citizens have completed their training already.
According to ZBC News, other projects in this sector include the establishment of 10 ICT laboratories and the construction of a technology park in Harare.
Also, the healthcare sector of Gokwe North builds telemedicine facilities which represents an important milestone towards better rural healthcare access.
Government tackles legislative issues with key amendments
In addition to these initiatives, the Pipelines Amendment Bill has been approved by Cabinet.
The amendment enhances pipeline protection through mandated tightened enforcement of unauthorized activities, and it requires strict inspection and maintenance procedures.
Moreover, this move is seen as crucial in safeguarding the country’s infrastructure.
Further, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Zimbabwe and Algeria for cooperation in science and technology was another highlight of the briefing.
This partnership is expected to boost both countries’ technological capabilities and foster innovation.
