Police named the other men as Munashe Mubawu, 43, Terrence Johannes Chinyemba, 42, Fredson Peter, 33, and Solomon Pamire, 34.

Police detained all five over an assault at the Brompton Guest Lodge in Harare at about 6:30 p.m. local time on Nov. 3, according to a police statement. The men are due to appear in court Thursday. However, the BBC report did not say who was assaulted or what charges, if any, the men face.

A family under scrutiny since losing power

Chatunga Mugabe, 29, is the youngest son of Robert Mugabe and his second wife, Grace Mugabe. Robert Mugabe ruled Zimbabwe for 37 years before losing power in 2017 at age 93. He died two years later, in 2019. Since then, the Mugabe family has faced a string of arrests, accusations and disputes, the BBC has reported in earlier coverage.
