The yearly gathering, which takes place on December 20 at Harare’s Golden Conifer Conference Centre, brings together Zimbabweans who are spending the holidays at home to catch up and discuss business prospects. Madzingo received the Diaspora Male Entrepreneur of the Year award, one of several recognized foreign business owners.
Madzingo, who moved to the UK after receiving banking training in Zimbabwe, has spearheaded Diaspora Insurance’s growth into a multimillion-dollar business.
As stated by New Zimbabwe, the corporation, which has its headquarters in Birmingham, has operations throughout the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Africa. As its operations continue to expand, it recently purchased a new headquarters and currently serves 19 African nations globally.
The company’s gross written premiums have increased by double digits, and claim settlements of millions of dollars have helped thousands of grieving families who are struggling financially as a result of diaspora fatalities.
Madzingo declared, “This is for you, all of our DiasporaInsurance.com family,” as he accepted the honor. Ours is not a job; it’s a calling. We appreciate your acknowledging our efforts.
At its annual conference in Hinckley, England, the Zim-UK Business Chamber also presented Madzingo with the Business Driver of the Year award.
He was also nominated by the African Business Chamber (AfBC) for the Top 100 African Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs in the UK. “This year has been full of accolades,” he joked.
