Mnangagwa warns against illegal expulsions in Zanu PF.

Mnangagwa accused those responsible for the arbitrary suspensions of destroying internal discipline and party unity, characterizing them as Zanu PF’s enemies.

According to party sources who asked to remain anonymous, Mnangagwa believed that the recent expulsions were unlawful since the correct party procedures had not been followed.

Ahead of the provincial elections that are set for early next year, they continued, the continuing reform process has caused profound splits.

According to a member of the Politburo, President Mnangagwa was particularly concerned about the suspension of Shadreck Mashayamombe by the Harare government, led by Godwills Masimirembwa.

Mnangagwa immediately called for an investigation into the person who planned the decision against Mashayamombe without following the correct procedures, and he revoked the suspension.

According to the source, “President Mnangagwa threatened to crack the whip on those responsible for the illegal expulsions and demanded investigations into them.”

Mnangagwa underlined that Mashayamombe was unfairly singled out by internal rumor-mongers who wanted to undermine him and that he contributed value to the party.

The constitution of Zanu PF states that Mashayamombe ought to have been disciplined at the branch level rather than by the provincial authorities.

According to sources, Masimirembwa took action against Mashayamombe because he saw him as a political danger before the 2025 provincial elections.

Calls to Masimirembwa’s cell phone were not answered as of press time, thus attempts to contact him for comment were futile.

Mnangagwa also demonstrated his displeasure of illegal disciplinary actions within Zanu PF by clearing two expelled members from Masvingo.

Speaking to reporters following the conclusion of the politburo meeting last week, Christopher Mutsvangwa, a spokesman for the Zanu PF, affirmed Mnangagwa’s position.

President insists on due process and internal unity.

Mutsvangwa claimed that President Mnangagwa was quite strict on the expulsion policy, stating that it might ruin the party and erode its cohesiveness.

In light of upcoming elections, he emphasized that Mnangagwa supports peace and unity and is against unjustified suspensions that could jeopardize party unity.

Mutsvangwa went on to say, “Zanu PF is still a revolutionary party with roots in the people, led by the idea of inclusion rather than expulsion.”

He claimed that rather than using needless punitive measures, Mnangagwa advocated for unity and the constructive handling of internal problems.

According to Zimbabwe situation Mutsvangwa went on to say that the party now favors reprimands over expulsions in an effort to foster unity and internal party strength.
