Key Points

  • Herentals Queens need a win to retain their title.
  • Black Rhinos Queens are a point behind, ready to pounce.
  • Chapungu Queens aim to capitalize on rivals’ mistakes.

With the season’s last games taking place across the nation today, the Heart Women’s Soccer League has devolved into an exciting three-way struggle for supremacy.

Herentals Queens look to defend their title

The top three teams are only one point apart, so today’s finale should be an exciting matchup. Black rhino queens, Chapungu queens, and herentals queens are all vying for the prized trophy.

Herentals Queens, the league leaders and defending champions, must earn all possible points in order to win the championship for a second straight year. With 78 points, the squad is in third place, followed by the Black Rhinos (77) and Chapungu (76).

The Herentals Talent Mukwanda, the captain of the Queens, is certain that her squad is ready to win. Today, Hope Academy will play Herentals at Luveve Stadium.

“Our style of play and the calibre of our players give us confidence,” Mukwanda stated. “We know what to do in these kinds of games because we have won before. We get a lot of trust from our coaches, executives, supporters, and club president, Honourable Innocent Benza.

Chapungu Queens eyeing an upset for the trophy

We will put in a lot of effort,” Mukwanda continued. We want to give it our all and win the trophy, but we won’t undervalue the opposition. Our approach is straightforward: take control right away.

According to news day, Mavis Chirandu the captain of the Black Rhinos, stressed the value of staying focused and attentive during the game.

Chirandu declared, “We’re approaching every game as a fresh challenge.” “We’ll continue to play our typical game, which involves keeping up the winning attitude we’ve displayed in the last three games. Complacency is not an option till the last whistle blows.

“We encourage each other to stay strong, stay focused, and maintain a positive mindset,” Chirandu added. Our confidence is increased by team accomplishments, individual objectives, and even simple things like scoring goals.

Before their last game, Chapungu Queens skipper Natasha Ndowa is not putting undue pressure on her squad.

Platinum Royals will play Chapungu at Mandava in Zvishavane.

“This year, we’ve given it our all, and we go into every game with the same desire to get better,’ Ndowa stated. “What occurs in other matches is not our main concern’

The Heart Group, under the visionary leadership of Walter Magaya, sponsors the Heart Women’s Football League. Magaya made its first sponsorship investment in more than ten years halfway through the season, contributing US$360,000 to the league. For the upcoming season, he has pledged to treble the sponsorship.
