KEY POINTS

  • Pambili advances gold cross-cut to unlock significant mineralization at GVM mine.

  • Assays confirm gold mineralization continues down-dip beneath historic workings at GVM.

  • GVM gravity plant upgrades will improve processing of recovered gold ore.

After drilling at GVM earlier this year, Pambili Natural Resources Corp. began creating a cross-cut into a fresh gold target.

An unusual zone of sulphide-mineralized brecciated chert was discovered by assays from Hole EADD001, yielding 1.2 grams of gold per tonne across 17.2 meters.

Pambili advances gold cross-cut from sub-vertical shaft

This mineralized zone, which sits beneath the GVM mine’s historic workings, is still accessible for deeper and strike-side extension.

The cross-cut is being developed by Pambili from a newly built sub-vertical shaft that is intended to provide effective access to the mineralized zones.

In order to reach the higher-grade lower contact, the business will first extend the cross-cut southward for 7 meters at a rate of 2 grams per tonne of gold.

This lower contact zone contains a 2-meter portion that Pambili prioritizes for development and has a grade of 3.86 grams per tonne gold.

As a secondary objective, the cross-cut will also reach the lower-grade upper contact zone, which is 2.19 meters at 1.57 grams per tonne of gold.

The GVM mining facility’s on-site stamp mill will be used to process the material recovered from the cross-cut.

Pambili processes recovered ore through gvm gravity plant

Processing ore grades as low as 0.5 grams per tonne are still profitable and feasible for Pambili at the present gold rates.

The GVM gravity recovered gold plant, sometimes referred to as the GRG plant, will treat the ore after it has reached the mineralized zone.

To manage higher ore volumes and increase overall processing efficiency, this GRG plant is presently undergoing improvements.

According to The Zimbabwean, the cross-cut development is a crucial step in determining the magnitude of the gold mineralization at GVM, according to Jon Harris, CEO of Pambili Natural Resources.

He went on to say that the core from Hole EADD001 indicates that mineralization is still occurring down-dip from old workings, which gives hope for the East Adit’s future.

In order to define a larger resource at GVM and optimize the project’s value for stakeholders, Pambili wants to move exploration and development along quickly.
